Spivey VIDALIA -- Willie Curtis Spivey died Nov. 28 at Bethany Home Nursing Center. The Montgomery County native had lived most of his life in Toombs County. He was retired from McLemore's Abattoir in Vidalia and a member of Smith Street Baptist Church in Vidalia. SURVIVORS: four daughters, Clevis Spivey and Matalice Spivey Fech, both of Vidalia, Glennis Foskey of Soperton and Jacque Cowart of Lyons; six sisters, Merle Dennis of Vidalia, Marie Jones of Macon, and Lavonne Sikes of Savannah, Johnnie Hull of Lakeland, Fla., Mildred Williams of Plant City, Fla., Myrtle Wagster of Lake Park, Fla.; a brother, E.L. Spivey of Vidalia; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. VISITATION: 5-8 p.m. today at Murchison Funeral Home. SERVICE: 11 a.m. Thursday at Murchison Funeral Home, burial in Pinecrest Cemetery. Additional Comments: Willie was born 17 Oct 1908 to John B. Spivey and Dissie Bush Spivey. His wife, Dessie Dell Tyson Spivey is also buried in Pincrest Cemetery.
