He was a native of Toombs County and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Rocky Creek Baptist Church near Lyons. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Willie Anderson Tyson of Lyons; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Elouise Mosley of Vidalia, Mrs. Patricia ann Lariscey of Lyons, and Mrs. Velma Lee Hanson of Savannah; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Stanley of Lyons, and Mrs. Alice DeLoach of Garden City; a brother, Glynn Tyson of Apopka, Fla; and three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Sunday at the Peace Chapel in Lyons with burial in English Eddy Church Cemetery near Lyons. Trapnell-Jones Funeral Home of Lyons is in charge. Additional Comments: Robert was born 20 Nov 1914 to John Noah Tyson and Ora Ann Higgs Tyson.
