                          Joe M. Tyson Rites Sunday
 Joe M. Tyson died Friday in Memorial Medical Center folowing a brief illness.
 A native of Jeff Davis County, he had resided in Vidalia 25 years and was 
retired.
 Graveside services were held in Pine Crest Cemetery Sunday afternoon with the 
Rev. Harold Marsh officiating. Murchison Funeral Home was in charge of 
arrangements.
 Pallbearers were: Wallace English, Walter Banks, Leon Fowler, George Maltby, 
Joseph Lindsey, and Harry Horton.
 Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Inez Wood Tyson, Vidalia; a son, Jimmy 
Tyson, Vidalia; 3 grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Mamie S. Tyson, Vidalia; two 
brothers, Willie Tyson, Vidalia and Noah Tyson, Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, 
Mrs. Paul Lockley, Lyons; and several nieces and nephews.

Additional Comments:
Joe was born 5 May 1918 to William Joseph "Joe" Tyson and Mamie Dee Smith 
Tyson. Georgia death certificate #013822.
