                         John W. Williams
 LYONS--- John W. Williams, 74, died Wednesday at Candler General Hospital in 
Savannah after a short illness.
 He was a native of Toombs County and was a former resident of Lyons. He had 
lived in Savannah for the past 21 years and was a member of the Riverside 
Baptist Church. He was retired from the Georgia Pacific Company.
 Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Neta Williams of Savannah; two sons, Quinton and 
Jack W. Williams, both of Savannah; a daughter, Mrs. Linton E. Gay Jr. of 
Savannah; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
 Funeral services will be held at 3pm today at the Harden's Chapel Methodist 
Church near Lyons, with burial in the church cemetery.
 Trapnell-Jones Funeral Home of Lyons is in charge.

John was born 3 Jan 1903 to Calvin Henry Williams and Vianna Tyson Williams.
