Williams, 87, of Lyons went home to be with the Lord May, 9, 2014, at Southland Health and Rehab of Peachtree City. Born in Jacksonville, FL, he was raised in Nashville and had resided in Lyons for 25 years before moving to Peachtree City to live with his family. He graduated from high school in Nashville where he later taught school. He attended Emory Jr. College for two years and graduated from Southern College of Pharmacy (Mercer). He worked as a Pharmacist at many drug stores during his career before retiring while serving as a Pharmacist at K-Mart. He was a World War II veteran where he proudly served in the United States Navy. He was Baptist by faith. He is survived by three daughters, Kay Smith and her husband, Jerry, who are currently serving as missionaries in Russia; Kaye Braemer and husband, Dan, of Peachtree City and Sharon Chaar of Ocala, FL; son, Daryl Buettner of Miami Beach, FL; brother, Cyril Williams of Ocala and two sisters, Meredith Williamson and Glenda Morgan, both of Jacksonville; several grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services were held May 10 at 3 p.m. at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel with the Rev. Robbie Rosier officiating. Interment followed at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
