"Sweet" Wright, 88, died Thursday morning at Meadows Memorial Hospital after a long illness. The Montgomery County native lived in Vidalia for the past 50 years and was the retired owner-operator of the Wright-way Shoe Shop. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Blocker's Chapel Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Clara Wright of Vidalia; one daughter, Mrs. Mackel Fletcher of Vidalia; one sister, Mrs. Herbert Andrews of Soperton; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral: 3pm Saturday at Blocker's Chapel Methodist Church; burial in the church cemetery. Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Home. Additional Comments: Robert was born 24 Dec 1895.
