                           Mrs. Quillie S. Barwick
 Mrs. Quillie S. Barwick, 97 of Soperton, died Friday night, July 28, 1989 
after a long illness.
 Mrs. Barwick was born in Glascock County but had lived most of her life in 
Treutlen County. She was the daughter of the late G. W. Sammons and the late 
Mrs. Frances Black Sammons and was married to the late Henry G. Barwick. She 
was a member of the Soperton Pentecostal Holiness Church.
 Survivors include two sons, Tullie Barwick of Soperton and Hollis Barwick of 
Forsyth; a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Coleman of East Dublin; seven sisters, Mrs. 
Hattie Holton of Soperton, Mrs. Flossie Johnson of Mt. Dora, Fla., Mrs. Mosie 
Lee Tedrick of Daytona Beach, Fla., Mrs. Jewell Meeks of Sanford, Fla., Mrs. 
Wilma Perkins of Macon, Mrs. Grace Johnson and Mrs. Doris Holton of Atlanta; 
six brothers, Roscoe Sammons of Diblin, G. C. Sammons, Hugh Sammons, and Ronald 
Sammons, all of Soperton, Groytt Sammons of Augusta, and Herbert Hall of 
Adrian; 45 grandchildren; and a number of great and great great grandchildren.
 Services were held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 3 o'clock Sunday 
afternoon, July 30, with the Rev. Robert Fennell officiating. Burial was in 
Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Jack Barwick, Lanier Barwick, Verdie Barwick, Edward Barwick, 
Donald Barwick, and Melvin Davis.
