Barwick Henry G. Barwick, 75, died at his home in Soperton Thursday morning, February 17, after a long illness. Born and reared in Washington County, Mr. Barwick was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Billy Barwick and had been a resident of Treutlen County for 59 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Quillie Sammons; five sons, Tullie, Willie, and H. P. Barwick, of Soperton, Otis Barwick of Adrian, and Hollis Barwick of Augusta; one daughter, Mrs. Bernice Pullen of East Dublin; 39 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at four o'clock Friday, Feb. 18, in Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Leo Mimbs and the Rev. James Frost officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Sammons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Frank Moxley, Eurnest Barwick, Darrell Holton, Alton Sammons, Melvin Davis, and Alex Shurling.
