The Rev. J. L. Manning officiated and burial was in Poplar Springs Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Otis Barwick, J. B. Thigpen, Emory Morgan, James Garner, Grayson Drake, and Estus Seals. The honorary escort included Bernard Burden, Estus Drake, Destus Seals, Jesse Ricks, Henry Thigpen, and Manning Youngblood. Mr. Beasley, a lifetime resident of Treutlen County, died suddenly Sunday afternoon. He was a son of the late John Beasley and Mrs. Nacy Foskey Beasley. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Orianna Baptsit Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Alice M. Braddy Beasley; one son, Geroyle Beasley of Aiken, SC; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Foskey of Adrian and Mrs. Maggie Powell of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Estus Beasley of Soperton and Willie Beasley of Jesup; one half-brother, Virgil Norris of Soperton; and three grandchildren. Additional Comments: Oscar was born 6-3-1897 to Warren C. Beasley and Nancy J. Foskey Beasley. He is buried at Bethsaida Cemetery along with his wife, Alice Maude Braddy Beasley.
