                   Funeral Rites For Mrs. Chance Were Held Sunday
 Last rites for Mrs. Mamie G. Chance, 78, of Adrian, who died Saturday at the 
home of Roscoe Foskey after an illness of four weeks, were held yesterday at 
2:30pm at Red Bluff Church, Rev. J. J. Winburn, Soperton, officiating. Sammons 
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
 Born and reared in Jefferson County, Mrs. Chance had lived in Adrian for 35 
years. She was the widow of the late W. E. Chance and was a member of the 
Baptist Church.
 Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary Alice Branch, Soperton, Mrs. 
Florence Foskey, Adrian, and Mrs. Vick Brown, Adrian; two sons, A. J. Chance, 
Soperton and L. C. Chance, Bradenton, Fla.; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-
grandchildren.
