(Note, he actually died on Wednesday, Dec. 4. 1985) Mr. Connell was a lifetime resident of Soperton and was a son of the late George Connell and the late Mrs. Lena Jackson Connell. He was a retired mechanic and served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Faith Baptist Chirch, Soperton. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elma Foskey Connell; a brother, Hugh Connell of Savannah. Funeral services were conducted in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon, December 5, with the Rev. William Wallace officiating. Burial was in Red Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were M. A. Cox Jr., J. L. Curl Jr., Curtis Rogers Jr., Junious Rogers, Malcolm Hall. and Wayne Sumner.
