A native of Laurens County, she had lived in Treutlen County most of her life. She was a daughter of Willian J. and Susie Smith McDaniel and was a member of the Primitive Baptist faith. Funeral services were conducted 11AM Monday from the Red Bluff Baptist Church with Elder J. M. Thomas officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of Sammons Funeral Home. Survivors include her parents, 3 sons, Jack, Bill, and Richard Foskey, all of Soperton; 4 daughters, Mrs. Ellen Strickland of Soperton, Mrs. Shellie Ree Gillis of Uvalda, and Misses Lucille and Lorene Foskey of Soperton; 2 sisters, Mrs. R. M. Johnson of Soperton and Mrs. Viola Wilkins of Greenville, Fla.; 5 brothers, J. G. McDaniel and Horace McDaniel, both of Greenville, Fla., and Henry, Lonnie, and Jim McDaniel, all of Soperton.
