(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net March 14, 2009, 10:44 am The Soperton News 7-17-1958 Front Page Red Bluff Rites Held For Mrs. Frances Foskey Mrs. Frances Foskey, 62, Route 3 Soperton, died in a Dublin hospital Thursday afternoon, July 10. A native of Johnson County, she had lived in Treutlen County for 45 years. She was a daughter of the late Tom M. Sterling and Mrs. Mary Stewart Sterling. Her husband was the late Richard Foskey. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Mary Etta Merritt, Mrs Luther Jackson, Miss Pearl Foskey, Miss Zelma Foskey, and Mrs. Leonard Connell, all of Soperton; one sister, Mrs. J. R. Clements of Glenwood; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from Red Bluff Baptist Church Saturday, July 12, with Rev. Hillery Sightler officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Roeldon Mosley, Willie Brantley, Marvin Foskey, Thelma Foskey, Cliff Jackson, and Herbert Warnock. Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton, was in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Frances was born 5-27-1897. Her husband is also buried at Red Bluff.
