                          Mrs. Hattie Sammons Holton
 Mrs. Hattie Sammons Holton, 89 of Soperton, died in a Savannah hospital 
Thursday, June 20th.
 Mrs. Holton was born in Washington County, but had lived most of her life in 
Treutlen County. She was a daughter of the late G. W. Sammons and the late Mrs. 
Frances Black Sammons. She was married to the late Glen Holton and was a member 
of the Soperton Pentecostal Holiness Church.
 Survivors include two sons, Jack R. Holton, Aiken, SC and Loye W. Holton, 
Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Audet, Savannah; eight 
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Flossie Johnson, 
Mt. Dora, Fla., Mrs. Mosie Lee Tedrick, Daytona Beach, Fla., Mrs. Jewell Meeks, 
Sanford, Fla., Mrs. Wilma Perkins, Macon, Mrs. Grace Johnson and Mrs. Doris 
Holton, Atlanta; and six brothers, Roscoe Sammons, Dublin, G. C., Hugh, and 
Ronald Sammons, Soperton, Groytt Sammons, Augusta, and Herbert Hall, Adrian.
 Funeral services were helf in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 2 o'clock 
Saturday afternoon, June 22nd, with the Rev. Felton Johnson and the Rev. Zelma 
Scott officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Rick Holton, Charle Holton, Cooledge Sammons, Ronald Sammons, 
Jeff Sammons, and Cooper Sammons.

Additional Comments:
Hattie was born 13 Jun 1902. Georgia death certificate #025470. Her husband, 
Glen Holton, is also buried in Westview. Her parents are buried in Harmony 
Baptist Church Cemetery in Soperton, Ga.
