Mr. Jackson was a native of Treutlen County and was a son of the late J. W. Jackson Sr. and the late Mrs. Gertrude Lingold Jackson. He was an employee of the State Highway Department and was a member of Red Bluff Baptist Church. He was married to the late Mrs. Lollie Mae Foskey Jackson. Survivors include one foster son, Owen Daniels, Dublin; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Donaldson, Adrian, Mrs. W. R. Edge and Mrs. Maire Daniels,both of Dublin; three brothers, Clifford Jackson, Boston, Mass., J. W. Jackson Jr., St. Augustine, Fla., and James Jackson, Vidalia. Funeral services were conducted from Red Bluff Baptist Church at three o'clock, Nov. 17th with the Rev. Melvin Mimbs and the Rev. Foye Spivey officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Sammons Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Rhodus B. Lamp, Gary Phillips, Leon Palmer, Robert Hardy, Hayward Poole, and Woodrow Phillips.
