                           Ovid Bright Keen
 Ovid Bright Keen, 67, Soperton, died early Monday morning, November 26, after 
a long illness.
 Mr. Keen was born in Laurens County but had lived in Treutlen County for 47 
years. His parents were the late J. L. Keen and the late Mrs. Lomie Daniels 
Keen. He was a retired farmer and a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
 Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lavada Derriso Keen; 2 sons, James Keen, 
Asheville and Gary Keen, Macon; 4 sisters, Mrs. Leitha Smith, Orlando, Fla.; 
Mrs. Marie Veal, Savannah; 3 brothers, Tullie Keen, Augusta, and Eulie Keen 
and Tillman Keen, Soperton; 5 grandchildren.
 Funeral services were conducted from Harmony Baptist Church at 2 o'clock 
Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 27. with the Rev. J. M. Carter officiating. Burial was 
in the church cemetery with Sammons Funeral Home in charge.
 Pallbearers were Mark Burns, Kenneth Keen, Jack Sweat, Phil Keen, Michael 
Keen, and Buddy Derriso.
