                      Mr. McDaniel Rites Today
 Henry Travis McDaniel, Dublin, died at his home Tuesday morning after a long 
illness. A native of Wheeler County, he was a son of Mrs. Lizzie Foskey 
McDaniel and the late Joseph McDaniel. He had been a resident of Laurens 
County for nine years and was a member of the Baptist Church.
 Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Mary Tharpe; one son, H. G. 
McDaniel, Lake Worth, Fla.; his mother, Mrs. Lizzie Drake, Dublin; four 
sisters, Mrs. Bell Jewel of Florida, Mrs. Trude Canady of Savannah, Mrs. Lula 
Green, Metter, and Mrs. Abie McGahee, Metter; one brother, Tommy McDaniel of 
Lake Worth, Fla.
 Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Midway Methodist 
Church near Soperton with the Rev. J. E. Harvell officiating. Burial was in 
the church cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Frank Edenfield, Olen McGahee, Kenneth Edenfield, Byron 
Canady, Buddy White, Jim McDaniel. Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton, in charge 
of arrangements.

Henry was born 12-25-1891.
