(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net November 25, 2009, 2:44 pm The Dublin Courier Herald 12-11-1971 Page 10 Mrs. Susie McDaniel SOPERTON---Funeral services for Mrs. Susie McDaniel, 84, of Soperton, will be held at 3:00pm Sunday from the Red Bluff Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery in Treutlen County. The Rev. James Kight and the Rev. Edward Lowery will officiate. Mrs. McDaniel, who died Friday in a Soperton hospital after a long illness, was a native of Bullock County, but lived in Soperton most of her life. She was a member of the Norris Chapel Primitive Baptist Church of Rockledge. Surviving are five sons, Joseph G. McDaniel of Manassus, Henry, Jim, and Lonnie McDaniel, all of Soperton, and Horace McDaniel of Wabassa, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Viola Wilkins of Hollister, Fla. and Mrs. Julia Mae Johnson of Soperton; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Hall and Mrs. becky Smith, all of Glenville; 32 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Sammons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Susie was born 5-7-1887 to Jonathon Green Smith and Julie Ann Couey Smith. Her husband was William Joseph McDaniel who is also buried at Red Bluff.
