Archbold Memorial Hospital, Thomasville, Ga. He was born June 24, 1914 in Soperton, Ga. and moved to Monticello from Vero Beach in 1990. Mr. McDaniel was a fruit laborer in a citrus packinghouse in Vero Beach and was a member of Rockledge Baptist Church, Dublin, Ga. Surviving are three sons, Edgar McDaniel, Vero Beach, the Rev. Erwin McDaniel, Fort Pierce, and James McDaniel, Monticello; two daughters, Betty Jean Driggers, Monticello and Bessie Wilson, Lake City; a brother, Jim McDaniel, Soperton; two sisters, Julie Mae Johnson and Viola Wilkins, both of Soperton; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. A funeral was held at Beggs-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel, Monticello. Interment was held in Evergreen Cemetery, Greenville. Additional Comments: Horace was born to william Joseph McDaniel and Susan "Susie" Manerva Smith McDaniel. Georgia death certificate #048626. His wife, Dallie G. Stewart McDaniel is also buried at Evergreen Cemetery.
