Mrs. Mimbs was born in Johnson County but had lived in Treutlen County for 50 years. She was a daughter of the late Mark Price and the late Mrs. Mille Spence Price. She was a member of Johnson's Chapel Church of God and was married to the late Felder Mimbs. Survivors include three sons, Leo Mimbs of Soperton, Parky Mimbs of Vidalia, and Manning Mimbs of Adrian; three daughters, Mrs. Valaree Heady of Aiken, SC, Mrs. Dessie Mae Johnson of Atlanta, and Mrs. Ella Jean Carter of Soperton; two sisters, Mrs. Clayton Mimbs of Adrian and Mrs. Gertrude Durden of Apopka, Fla.; 25 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Funeral servives were conducted from Johnson's Chapel Church of God at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, June 24th, with the Rev. Herbert Hall and the Rev. C. M. Butler officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Sammons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Lessie was born 8-9-1898.
