Mrs. Mimbs was born in Washington County and was the former Miss Lois Price. She was a daughter of the late Marcus Price and Mrs. Mellie Frances Spence Price. She was a member of the Blackville Church of God. Survivors include two sons, Elmer Mimbs of Warner Robins and Edward Mimbs of Adrian; five daughters, Mrs. Bernese Youngblood of Adrian, Mrs. Ruby Smith of Warner Robins, Mrs. Ella Ree Webb of Statesboro, Mrs. Dorothy Dickens of Adrian, and Mrs. Maggie Young of Dublin; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Durden of Apopka, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-hrandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Blackville Church of God at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon, October 4, with the Rev. Randy Hobbs, the Rev. Edward Lowery, and the Rev. Gordon Statum officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery with Sammons Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Dan Young, Phillip Mimbs, Eddie Mimbs, Stacey Webb, Charles Webb, and Kennon Smith, all grandsons. The honorary escort included Clayton Stephens, Horace Harrell, M. W. Williamson, Herbert Warnock, J. W. Herndon, Jim McDaniel, Lee Ely, Glenn Holton, and Joe Mullis.
