Mimbs Dies At 61; Last Rites Observed On Tuesday Final rites for William Edward Mimbs of Adrian were conducted at 3:30pm Tuesday from Blackville Church of God. Burial was in Westview Cemetery, Soperton. A Johnson County native, Mr. Mimbs died Saturday in a Dublin hospital after a short illness. Having lived most of his life in Treutlen County, Mr. Mimbs was a member of Blackville Church of God. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lillian Miller Mimbs of Adrian; a son, Eddie Mimbs of Soperton; two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Chafin of East Dublin and Mrs. Jimmie Stokes of Warner Robins; five sisters, Mrs. Bernise Williams and Mrs. Dorothy Dickens, both of Adrian, Mrs. Ruby Smith of Warner Robins, Mrs. Ella Ree Webb of Statesboro, and Mrs. Maggie Young of Dublin; a brother, Elmer Mimbs of Warner Robins; and four grandchildren. Sammons Funeral Home of Soperton had charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: William was born 1-27-1919 to Oscar Clayton Mimbs and Susan Delois "Lois" Price Mimbs.
