                       Mrs. Beulah Foskey Peebles
 Mrs. Beulah Foskey Peebles, 70, of Route 1 Soperton, died in a Swainsboro 
hospital Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 25, 1980, after a short illness.
 A native of Johnson County, Mrs. Peebles was a daughter of the late Sam 
Foskey and the late Mrs. Safie Spence Foskey. She was a member of the Soperton 
United Methodist Curch.
 Before retiring in 1976, Mrs. Peebles was an employee of the Treutlen County 
School System. She began her career in the lunchroom at Gillis Springs School. 
When Gillis Springs closed, she moved to Treutlen Elementary School and during 
the last years prior to retirement, she served as manager of the Treutlen 
Primary School lunchroom.
 Survivors include her husband, Thomas A. Peebles Sr.; three sons, Jack 
Peebles, Tommy Peebles, and Hilton Peebles, all of Soperton; a daughter, Mrs. 
Paul Crawford of Bradenton, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Doshia McDaniel and Mrs. 
Katie Mae McPearson, both of Adrian; three brothers, J. G. Foskey, Obie 
Foskey, and Bob Foskey, all of Adrian and Tillman Foskey of Scott; 12 
grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 4 
o'clock Thursday afternoon, Nov. 27, with the Rev. Gene Brooks officiating. 
Burial was in the Thigpen Cemetery, Norristown.
 Pallbearers were James B. Meeks Jr., Kennon Peebles, Sam Foskey, Floyd 
Foskey, Joseph McDaniel Jr. and Kenneth Foskey.

Additional Comments:
Sadie Beulah was born 4-3-1910. Her husband is also buried at Thigpen Cemetery.
