Sammons Mr. Ronald P. Sammons, age 77 of Soperton, died Friday, July 25, 2014. Mr. Sammons was a lifelong resident of Treutlen County and was preceded in death by his parents, G. W. "Crockett" Sammons and Georgia Kate Cooper Sammons, brothers and sisters. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Agriculture and was a farmer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Soperton and the R. A. Perry Sunday School Class. He served in the US Army. Survivors include his wife, Janie Webb Sammons; daughters, Ronda (Robert) Whitworth of Dallas, Ga. and Jill (Russ) Butcher of Loganville; grandchildren, Anna Grace Whitworth, Kristopher Whitworth, Jennifer Whitworth Cole, Josiah Butcher, Abigail Butcher, and Caleb Butcher; sister, Doris Holton of Alpharetta; and brother, G. C. (Betty) Sammons of Soperton. Services will be held in the First Baptist Church, Soperton at 11AM Monday, July 28, with the Revs. George Grimes and Russ Butcher officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, Soperton. Pallbearers will be Chuck Sammons, Jeff Sammons, John Sammons,Eddie Hall, Hayes Holton, and Billy Johnson. The R. A. Perry Sunday School Class will serrve as honorary pallbearers. A visitation will be held at Sammons Funeral Home Sunday from 6 to 8PM. Additional Comments: Ronald was born 30 Aug 1936. His parents are also buried in Harmony.
