                         Mrs. Sallie W. Sammons
 Mrs. Sallie W. Sammons, 78 of  Soperton, died Nov. 8, 1979 at the Treutlen 
County Nursing Home after a long illness. Services were held Saturday afternoon 
at 2pm from the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Brooks 
officiating with burial in Westview Cemetery.
 Mrs. Sammons was a native of Richmond County and ahd lived in Soperton for the 
past 58 years.
 Survivors include: 2 sons, Dean Sammons and Colen Sammons of Soperton; 3 
daughters, Miss Daisy Sammons of Soperton, Mrs. Mervin Warnock of Tarrytown, 
and Mrs. Lois Brown of Mt. Vernon; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
 Pallbearers were Alton Sammons, H. P. Barwick, Tullie Barwick, Jack Holton, 
Eddie Hall, and Drexel Braddy. 
 

Additional Comments:
Sallie was born 8 Aug 1901. Georgia death certificate #034962. Her husband, 
Thomas C. Sammons, is also buried at Westview.
