                               Hugh Sammons
 Mr. Hugh Sammons, age 76 of Soperton, died Wednesday, February 9, 2011.
 Mr. Sammons was born in Treutlen County and was preceded in death by his 
parents, G. W. and Georgia Kate Cooper Sammons and daughter, Valerie J. Wolff. 
He was from a family of twenty-three brothers and sisters and served in the US 
Army during the Korean War, He was a retired truck driver, school bus driver, 
and was retired from Bethlehem Steel. He attended Soperton United Methodist 
Church.
 Survivors include his wife, Catherine Soluders Sammons; children, Diana S. and 
Ames Floyd, Dublin, Scott and Karen Sammons, Chickamauga, Ga., Mark and Debbie 
Sammons, Adrian; sister, Doris Holton, Alpharetta; brothers, G. C. "Coon" and 
Betty Sammons and Ronald P. and Janie Sammons, all of Soperton; eleven 
grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
 Services were held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 11AM Saturday, 
February 12, with the Revs. John Drake and Quentin McArthur officiating.

Additional Comments:
Hugh was born 22 Dec 1934. His parents are buried in Harmony Baptist Church 
Cemetery in Soperton, Ga.
