                              SAMMONS
 Funeral services for Mr. Horace P. Sammons, 73 of 15404 E, Lake Burrell Dr. 
Luz, will be conducted Monday at 2PM from the chapel of Snipes Hamilton Funeral 
Home, 6718 N. Armenio Ave., with Dr. Stanley E. Young Jr., Pastor of the 
Buchanan Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory 
Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Sammons was a native of Soperton, Ga. and had resided in 
Hillsborough County for the past 35 years. He is suevived by his wife, Mrs. 
Susie B. Sammons; 3 sons, Leon G. Sammons of Jacksonville, Fla., and Roy H. and 
Bobby B. Sammons, both of Tampa; a daughter, Mrs. Janey S. Folsom of Tampa; a 
brother, Roscoe Sammons of East Dublin, Ga.; 8 sisters, Mrs. Quellie S. Barwick 
of Soperton, Ga., Mrs. Ada S. Holton of Soperton, Ga., Mrs. Bertha S. Morris of 
West Lake, Ohio, Mrs. Hattie S. Holton of Soperton, Ga., Mrs. Eva S. Kitchens 
of Ridgeway, SC, Mrs. Flossie S. Johnson of Traverse, Fla., Mrs. Mosie Lee S. 
Beck of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Jewel S. Meeks of Sanford, Fla.; 4 half-
brothers, Groyt Sammons of Augusta, Ga., and Cooledge, Hugh, and Ronnie 
Sammons, all of Soperton, Ga.; 3 half-sisters, Mrs. Wilmer S. Perkins of Byron, 
Ga., Mrs. Grace S. Johnson and Mrs. Doris S. Holton, both of Atlanta; grandson, 
Gregory B. Sammons of Tampa; and 3 granddaughters, Lori A. and Lisa M. Sammons 
of Jacksonville and Ashley A. Folsom of Tampa.

Horace was born 10 Sep 1906 to George Washington "Crockett" Sammons and 
Franzine Lauice Black Sammons. His wife was Susie Darley Sammons.
