                          Cecil Strickland
 SOPERTON - Services for Cecil Darrell Strickland will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in 
the chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with burial in Rosemont Cemetery, Treutlen 
County. Strickland, 70, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, in a Savannah hospital. 
Born in Tattnall County, he was the son of the late Cecil C. Strickland and 
the late Rita Arnette Strickland. He was a retired truck driver and was a 
member of Liberty Baptist Church, Lyons. Strickland was a World War II Army 
veteran. 
Survivors include his wife, Beulah Foskey Strickland; sons Buddy Strickland of 
Vidalia, Roger Strickland of Nogales, Ariz., and Steve Strickland of Soperton; 
daughters Claudette Hayes and Shirley Norfleet, both of Vidalia, Donna Thigpen 
of Rockledge, Jackie Kight of Soperton; sisters JoAnn Bourdo of Norfolk, Va., 
and Betty Edwards of Gainesville; 20 grandchildren; and six great-
grandchildren. 
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
