(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net January 26, 2009, 10:30 am The Dublin Courier Herald 6-24-1967 Front Page Funeral Rites For Mrs. Watts Of Soperton SOPERTON---Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Foskey Watts, 75, of Soperton, will be held Sunday afternoon at three thirty o'clock at Rosemont Primitive Baptist Church, with the Rev. William Hall and the Rev. Leon Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery and pallbearers will include Vernon Gillis, R. E. Cone, Marvin Powell, John C. Powell, Oliver McLendon and Ernest Clements. The body will lie in state at Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton until placed in the church at two thirty p. m. Sunday. Mrs. Foskey was a native of Johnson County but had lived in Treutlen County for 46 years. She was the widow of E. J. Watts and a member of the Rosemont Primitive Baptist Church. She is survived by five sons; Mander Watts, M. J. Watts, Wilmer Watts, and Herbert Watts, all of Soperton, and Fonzo Watts, of Rincon; two daughters, Mrs. Lutrelle Hall of Townsend and Mrs. Aline Bearden of Belle Glade, Fla.; two sister's, Mrs. Lula Johnson of Apopia, Fla. and Mrs. Iona Davis of Soperton; three brothers, Tilt Foskey, Angus Foskey, and Lonzy Foskey, all of Dublin; 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
