(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net February 10, 2013, 6:41 pm The Dublin Courier Herald 12-3-1997 Mander Watts SOPERTON--- Services for Mander Watts, 87, of Route 2, will be held at 2pm Friday in the chapel of Sammons Funeral Home, with the Revs. Tommy Veal and Royce Brady officiating. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery in Treutlen County. A native of Johnson County, Mr. Watts lived most of his life in Treutlen County. He was the son of the late Eugene J. Watts and Ethel Foskey Watts. He was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church in Treutlen County, where he served as a deacon. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. Mr. Watts died Wednesday in a Vidalia hospital. Survivors include his wife, Annie Bell Edge Watts of Soperton; two sons, Howard Watts of Mt. Vernon and Eugene Watts of Soperton; two daughters, Hazel Hardy of Soperton and Louise Toler of Soperton; a sister, Allene Bearden of Lyons; three brothers, Wilmer Watts of Soperton, Herbert Watts of Soperton, and Fonzo Watts of Savannah; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 6 to 8pm and can be reached at the home of Ray and Hazel Hardy, Route 2, Soperton.
