It bears notations on the families of John W. Wright and first wife, Ann Jane McJunkin, who were married in Troup County GA on October 17, 1837; and of John W. Wright and second wife, Frances Emmaline Parker, who moved to what is now Clay County AL. The Bible is in possession of Wright-Parker descendants in AL. Birth and death dates as recorded in the Bible are summarized as follows (notations in parentheses have been added): John W. Wright: January 29, 1804 (England) - May 19, 1891 Ann Jane McJunkin: August 29, 1812 - October 12, 1850 F. Emmaline Parker: September 15, 1835 - December 16, 1936 Margaret Cannon Alexander McJunkin (Ann's mother) died the morning of September 25, 1843 Margaret Elizabeth Wright: Born August 28, 1838 (d. August 25, 1887; m. Pleasant Yarbrough, January 19, 1858) Samuel Thomas Wright: Born June 15, 1841 Sarah Ann Jarusa Wright: August 14, 1849 - September 20, 1849 John S. Wright: June 20, 1857 - June 18, 1889 Martha Jane Wright: November 13, 1859 - March 20, 1947 (m. James M. Evans) William Jackson Wright: April 30, 1862 - November?, 1947 (m. Laura Alford) Nancy Ann Frances (Fannie)Wright: August 19, 1864 - January 3, 1946 Pleasant Edward Wright: April 16, 1867 - June 20, 1938 (m. Matilda Lynch) Dora Ann Wright: November 12, 1869 - November 4, 1959 Thomas Ivens Wright: March 17, 1872 - November 14, 1945 (m. Ida Lynch) Step Enoch Wright: March 7, 1875 - July 23, 1951 (m. S. Parker was born July 28, 1800 William W. Smith was born May 6, 1849 (Marriage Page) A. J. Smith was born November 2, 1844 (Marriage Page) Additional Comments: John W. Wright was born in England in 1804 and came to America with his parents (John W?. and Elizabeth), a brother, Samuel, and sister, Ann, circa 1808. Although young, John W. was always said to remember Liverpool. The parents died of fever and were buried near Charleston, SC. Samuel returned to England. John W. made his home with his sister Ann who was said to have married Jake Ringer and lived near LaGrange, GA. Two of the Ringer children were Douglas and Jane (m. Hubbard). Following Ann Jane McJunkin Wright's death in 1850, John married Emmaline Parker. By the mid-1870's, they were living in Clay County, AL where their three youngest children were born. Other McJunkin and and Parker relatives also migrated to Clay County. Many Wright and McJunkin descendants are buried in the Mt. Gilead Methodist Cemetery (Sikesville Community)in Clay County, AL. Frances Emmaline Parker Wright's 100th birthday celebration in 1935, including relatives in attendance, is recorded under newspaper articles, AL Gen Web Archives site, Clay Co.
