Hines Land Lot/District: 235/7 Date written: June 5, 1847 Date recorded: February 8, 1849 Troup County Deed Book J, page 571 Georgia Troup County This indenture made this the fifth day of June in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Eight hundred and forty seven, between John W Hines of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and Josiah Tuck McLaughlin of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John W Hines for and in consideration of the sum of Eight hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and do by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Josiah Tuck McLaughlin his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the County aforesaid containing two hundred and two and one half acres more or less known and distinguished as as(sic) lot No. Two hundred and thirty five (235-) in the seventh district of said County -- To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land unto him the said Josiah T McLaughlin his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights , members, and appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use, benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. And the said John W Hines for himself, his heirs, Executors and administrators the said bargained premises unto the said Josiah T. McLaughlin his heirs and and(sic) assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatsoever.
