Georgia 
Wilkes County

This Indenture made the Fifth
day of November in the year of
our Lord One Thousand Eight
hundred and thirty and in the
fifty fourth year of the
independence of the United
States of America, Between
Edward W. McLaughlin of the
county of Wilkes of the one
part, and Henry B. Thompson of
the county of Taliaferro of the
other part, Witnesseth that the
said Edward W. McLaughlin for
and in consideration of the Sum
of One hundred dollars in hand
paid, at and before the Sealing
and delivery of these presents,
the receipt wherof is hereby
acknowledged, hath granted,
bargained, sold, aliened,
conveyed, and confirmed, and by
these presents do grant,
bargain, sell, alien, convey
and confirm unto the said Henry
B. Thompson his heirs and
assigns, all that Tract or
parcel of Land, situate lying
and being in the Twelfth
district of the county of Troup
and State aforesaid, known in
the said district by number Two
hundred and three (203)
containing two hundred and two
and a half acres more or less,
To have and to hold the said
tract of Land with all and
singular the rights members and
appurtenances thereof
whatsoever to the said H. B.
Thompson being belonging or in
any wise appertaining, with the
remainders & remainants(?),
revisions, rents, issues, and
profits thereof to the only
proper use, benefit of him, the
said H. B. Thompson his heirs
Executors  administrators and
assigns in fee simple, and the
said Edward W. McLaughlin his
heirs executors and
administrators the said
bargained premises unto the
said H. B. Thompson his heirs
executors, administrators and
assigns, against the said E. W.
McLaughlin his heirs executors
and administrators, and all and
every other person or persons,
shall and will warrant and
forever defend by virtue of
these presents . 

In witness whereof the said
Edward W. (sic) hath hereunto
set his hand and affixed his
seal the day and year above
written
