Carrollton, Carroll Co., Georgia NEWSPAPER Issue of Friday, AUGUST 26, 1881 NEIGHBORHOOD News The LaGrange Reporter gives the following account of a family of dwarfs in Troup county: Troup county has a family within her limits, several of whom are dwarfs. Mr. F. M. Darnell, who lives a few miles above West Point, on the river, is forty- nine years of age, and is only four feet and four inches high. He has four children, two boys of whom inherit their father's imperfect stature. One is twelve years old and his stature is thirty-one inches; the other, age nine, measures thirty-three inches in height. The eldest of these two children is afflicted with malformation and disease of the spine. The mother is five feet high and the other children are of ordinary height.
