La Grange Reporter 1881
We learn that Mr. W.H. Sloan, who lives on Mr. E.A. Reid's place, over the
river, on Wednesday night of last week, in a fit of mental aberration, tried to
take his own life. He first made an effort to cut his throat, but failing in
that, beat his head against the fireplace. He is said to be better now. We hope
he will entirely recover his mental health.
