The Death of Mr. J. L. Brook

At Mountville February 3rd, 1913, occurred the death of Mr. J. L. Brooks.  Only
a few days ago he was among us and very unexpectedly was snatched away from his
loved ones.  Miss Lorena Brook, a trained nurse, of Macon reached her father to
minister to him in the last few hours he lived.  Mr. Brook was about sixty-three
years old and had lived here most of his life.  He is survived by four children,
Miss Lorena Brook, and Mrs. A. E. Hartzog, of Macon, Mr. Robt. Brook, of
Atlanta, Mrs. Andrews of the Rock.  The funeral was held at the Baptist church
by Rev. Richard Blalock of LaGrange.  The interment was in Mountville cemetery.

Transcriber's note: Joshua Brook is my 1st cousin 4x removed.  He was the son of
Joshua Brook and Sarah Cole McLaughlin.
