Death of Dr. Cherry
West Point, Ga., November 8 [Special]
Dr. James A. Cherry, one of West Point's oldest and most honored citizen,
died this morning, at the home of his only daughter,
Mrs. E. F. Lanier.  He has lived here for over half a century, and no man was
better known or esteemed by the whole community, than this honored, Christian 
gentleman and friend.  He was nearing eighty years of age, and only three 
more of the old regime are left amongst us, the representatives of the best 
men, of the best civilization of the old south.
