Prof. I.F. Cox Dead

Mr. T.W. Harvey received a telegram Monday morning announcing the sad death of 
Pro. I.F. Cox, of LaGrange Female College of apoplexy.  Prof. Cox was a brother 
of Mrs. M.C. Bivins, of Pineville, and cousin of Mr. T.W. Harvey, of this 
place.  The commencement sermon of this college was preached on Sunday last and 
this good and useful man was taken off on the eve of the exercises of the 
college.  Prof. Cox leaves an interesting family to mourn his loss, and we 
sympathize with his relatives in this county.
