Dallis called by death The funeral Services will be Conducted today in LaGrange George T. Dallis, one of the most widely known traveling men going out of Atlanta died yesterday morning at the Pine Ridge sanitarium north of the city where he had been under treatment for the past two months. For two years Mr. Dallis's healthe had been failing, but it was not until a few months ago that his friends and the members of his family became uneasy. He quit thr road and entered a private hospital, but continued to grow worse. Two months ago he sought the Pine Ridge sanitarium, and for a time appeared to be improving, notwithstanding the fact that he was never able to leave his bed. Death came at 4 o'clock in the morning. George Thomas Dallis was born in Troupe (sic) county near LaGrange in 1850. When a young man he entered the Wimbush & Abrams grocery house one of the largest mercantile concerns in that section of the state, and remained with the firm up to 1893, when he secured a position in the interior department at the national capital. He remained in Washington ten or twelve years and then, forming a connection with a cigar factory at Tampa, went on the road. He was still with that company when he quit work. Mr. Dallis in early life married Miss Jennie Morgan, of LaGrange, who died a few years ago. He is survived by one son and a daughter -- Earnest E. Dallis, of Atlanta connected with The Constitution, and Miss Carrie Morgan Dallis, of Atlanta, and a sister, Mrs. Leila Shelman of 306 Jupiter street. The body was taken from the sanitarium to Mrs. Shelman's residence, whence it will be sent at 9 o'clock to LaGrange, where the interment will occur this morning. Funeral services will take place at the grave in Hill View cemetery.
