FINCHER KILLED IN A CAR WRECK LAST SATURDAY Last Saturday, shortly after noon, a new Ford sedan car was overturned on the highway just south of Five Points, and J.D. Fincher of LaGrange was killed and his two small sons injured, and also injured a Mr. Fuller also of LaGrange. It is said that a tire blew out while the car was moving at a rapid rate of speed and this caused the accident, which had such a tragic result. Mr. Fincher was foreman of one of the departments in one of the LaGrange cotton mills and formerly lived in Roanoke. He was about 40 years of age. His body was intererd at Lebanon cemetery near Roanoke on Sunday afternoon with Rev. J.D. Dollar officiating. --- FORRESTER'S CHAPEL News Aug. 13th Mr. Gumby Windsor attended the funeral of his brother-in-law J.D. Fincher of LaGrange, who was killed in a car wreck last Saturday.
