GAUNTT IN WEST POINT ON SUNDAY Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Goodwin were called to West Point, Georgia last Sunday by the critical illness of Dr. Thomas Goodwin Gauntt, whose death occurred at ten that evening. Funeral and interment were in West Point on Monday afternoon in the presence of a large concourse. Quite a number from Roanoke were in attendance. Dr. Gauntt was stricken with paralysis two or three weeks ago and failed to rally. He was in the prime of life and was one of the most prominent and popular physicians and surgeons in his adopted home. He was born and reared in Randolph county, making his home during his youth with Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Goodwin, being the nephew and namesake of the former. Many friends in this county regret his untimely death.
