NEWSPAPER Issue of Wednesday, September 17, 1924

On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. G.H. Handley, Ben Handley and Paul Lane and Mr. and 
Mrs. G.W. Heard went to LaGrange to attend the funeral of Mr. James M. 
Handley, a kinsman of these people. The deceased was a prominent farmer 
living her LaGrange. His death was comparatively sudden. He was 35 years of 
age. His mother, wife and five children survive him. After services 
conducted by the pastor of the First Baptist church the Masons had charge at 
the grave.
