M. Harrington Served as Mayor of West Point for Several Terms West Point, Ga., January 25 - ( Special ) - A telegram was received here today from LaFayette, Ala., announcing the death of John M. Harrington, formerly a citizen of West Point, but who has resided in LaFayette for the past few years. Mr. Harrington had been in bad health for a number of years and had been failing rapidly lately. He recently returned from a health-seeking trip through the west. He was a member of the large firm of Harrington Bros., until the failed in 1894. He was mayor of West Point for a number of terms and under his administration a great many improvements were made. While he was mayor the large iron bridge across the Chattahoochee river was built and the present efficient volunteer fire company was organized. Also the new and handsome ____ building was erected. His remains will be brought here for interment. Additional Comments: Son of John M.
