Mr. Jeff A. Hunt, 80, of LaGrange died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at his home
surrounded by his family.

Mr. Hunt was born June 12, 1927 in LaGrange and was Baptist by faith. He served
in the U.S. Army/Aircorp during World War II where he was stationed in the
Philippines. Mr. Hunt was retired and the previous owner of Valley Seafood in
Lanett, AL and Quality Portable Buildings in Lanett, AL and LaGrange. He was
preceded in death by his parents, Jeff A. Hunt, Sr. and Lela Dorrough Hunt;
step-mother, Nan Hunt; brother, Earl Hunt; sisters, Margaret Attaway, Winnie
Herndon, and Christine Lawrence; and one grandchild, Wesley Chaney, Jr. Mr. Hunt
was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and Pawpaw. He loved gardening,
working with his hands, and loved to cook and spend time with his family. He
will be greatly missed by all.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Kathryn Oliver Hunt of LaGrange; three
children, Ron (Melissa) Hunt of LaGrange, Dawn (Donell) Turner of LaGrange, and
Susan (Wesley) Chaney of Pine Mountain, GA; grandchildren, Kim (Bill) Jones of
West Point, GA, Holly (Shane) Scott of LaGrange, Kristy Crow of Columbus, GA,
Chris Hunt of Middleton, MD, and Jeffrey Hunt of Taneytown, MD;
great-grandchildren, Shelby Scott of LaGrange; Sydney Lynch of LaGrange, Levi
Wynn of LaGrange; Molly Jones of West Point, GA, and five step-great grandsons;
brothers, Hewlett (Dorothy) Hunt of Hogansville, GA and Arnold (Patricia) Hunt
of Franklin, GA; sister, Jewel Gaddy of Hogansville, GA; step-mother, Ima Hunt
of Franklin, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 27, 2008 at
Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange Chapel with Reverend Tommy McLeroy and
Reverend Brandon Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
