CARRIE MOORE DIED IN LAGRANGE LAST THURSDAY AT THE AGE OF 86 YEARS; WAS FORMER ROANOKE RESIDENT The sad death of Mrs. Carrie Moore occurred at noon Thursday (July 18, 1912). Mrs. Moore was born and raised in Troup County and for the past thirty years she has lived in LaGrange. She was the wife of Mr. S.W. Moore, who was in the grocery business up to the time of his death several years ago. Since that time Mrs. Moore has lived with her daughter Mrs. Maggie Fleeth on Ridley Ave. Mrs. Moore had reached the age of 86 years. She leaves behind her many friends to whom she had endeared herself by her noble and unselfish bearing on all occasions, and who are grieved at her passing. There is a measure of consolation in the secure knowledge that her gentle spirit has gone to the Eternal City, there to meet the loved ones who have gone before. Nothing too good can be said of this most loved woman; only that we could live the life that she lived, and be what she has been. For over half a century she was constantly doing christian work and was a member of the Methodist church. She leaves behind one daughter Mrs. Maggie Fleeth, and two grandchildren, Mr. Paul Fleeth and Mrs. Austin Cook, who have the sympathy of everybody. The funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Fleeth on Friday at 2:30 p.m. The LaGrange Reporter Mrs. Moore lived in Roanoke a few years with her daughter Mrs. Fleeth and was esteemed by all her Roanoke friends as an elect christian lady.
