LaGrange, Ga. -- Judge J. P. Mooty, aged 71 years, died Monday at his home on 
Morgan street.  The funeral was held at the residence, 4 o'clock Tuesday.  
Judge Mooty was the present justice of the peace at LaGrange for hte 655th 
district.  The most of his life has been spent in teaching.  He leaves two 
sons, James and Brown Mooty, of LaGrange, and two daughters, Mrs. E. M. 
Trammell, of Five Points, Ala., and Mrs. W. T. Birdson, of LaGrange.
