Archives * newspaper title not shown Mr. C.A. DeLoach died Friday, December 31st. He was a native of Upson County, Georgia. Was born in 1842 (August 2nd). Moved to Chambers County Alabama at about the age of 25 years. He reared a large family, of whom twelve survive him. Those surviving are: Mrs. George Story, of Carrollton, Ga.; Mrs. W.M. Hadaway; Mrs. G.B. Hadaway, Mrs. W.T. Cofield; Mrs. H.F. Jacobs and J.L. DeLoach, all of Abbottsford, Ga.; Mrs. F.B. Walker, of Fairfax, Ala.; Mrs. James Whatley, of Langdale; Mrs. R.C. Arnett; W.W. DeLoach, C.E. DeLoach and J.N. DeLoach of Lanett. Mr. DeLoach was a member of the Baptist church most of his life and was a member of the Masonic Order. Funeral services were held at Wehadkee Baptist Church on Saturday, January 1st, by Dr. Vaughn, of LaGrange. The remains were interred at Wehadkee Cemetery the same day. Johnson and Blakely, Funeral Directors in charge. Additional Comments: Charles A. DeLoach was married to Mary Elizabeth Nichols, daughter of William Martin Nichols and Henrietta Cavender. His wife pre-deceased him, having died August 2, 1921 and is also buried at Wehadkee Cemetery. C.A. DeLoach was the son of Thomas DeLoach and Amelia "Milly" Isabella Magnan.
