S.P. Callaway, editor of the LaGrange Reporter, who died at his home in LaGrange on Tuesday morning. Mr. Callaway was a prominent Baptist minister and served many churches. He was a perfect Christian gentleman and served his church faithfully until forced by deafness to give up the ministry when he took to journalism. He had been editor of the Reporter for sixteen years and made it one of the brightest and best weekly papers in Georgia. The loss of Mr. Callaway will be sadly felt by his family, his city, his church, the press and the people at large.
