He was 72 years of age and leaves a wife and seven children. In this number are Mrs. James Sheets and Miss Edith Russell of Roanoke and Mr. Charles H. Russell of LaGrange. The interment was made at Bacon Level on Tuesday afternoon with services by Dr. Hines. Mr. Russell spent most of his long life in that section. He had been a member of the Baptist church since boyhood. Mr. J.F. Russell of Roanoke is a brother of the deceased. At 8:30 Monday, Mr. James D. Hunter died at the residence of his nephew, Mr. James S. Hunter, this city, after an illness of several days. His wife died at the age of 87 years at their home in Troup County just one month before. Mr. Hunter who was nearly 90 years old, then came here to make his home. The remains were taken this morning back to his old home at Flat Shoals for interment.
