The Atlanta Constitution
Charles Hugh Smedley 60. resident of Abbotsford. died at his home Monday evening. 
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Harmony church, Abbottsford. Rev. Willis E. 
Howard, of LaGrange, officiated and was assisted by Bev. C. B. Martin, of 
Lincoln. Ala. Burial followed in Harmony cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. 
Eula Freeman Smedley; four sons, J. A. Smedley of LaGrange, Rufus Smedley, of 
Oakland Ala., J. M. Smedley and Freeman Smedley, of Abbotsford; three daughters. 
Mrs. R. H.  Adamson, of Glenn, Miss Beulah Smedley LaGrange. and Miss Helen 
Smedley, of Abbotsford; two brothers D.B. Smedley and J.B. Smedley of 
Abbottsford: one sister, Mrs. H.R. Prince of West Point, and four grandchildren.
